If this is your first time buying Kansas City Royals tickets (or second, or even third), you might be wondering: where should I go to eat during the game? Where are the best foods and the best deals?
Well, you’ve come to the right place. Let’s take a look at some of the delicious options offered at Kauffman Stadium.
1. Shredded Southern BBQ pork sandwiches, True KC cheese steak sandwiches, and banana splits

If you’re really hungry and looking for a great place to eat, try Rivals Sports Bar. They have a full menu, including the delicious items listed above, and even have tables that overlook the field!
Book one of these tables in advance with their “Rivals Front Row Seating” package and you’ll get four tickets to the game, seating for four at one of Rivals’ tables overlooking the field, and $25 per person that you can use for food or drinks. Combined, this is an excellent deal for a family, or group of friends, that want to watch a Royals game in style.
Also, if one of the members of your group is vegetarian, they can still enjoy a delicious veggie burger, chopped salad, or iceberg wedge salad.
2. Frozen Custard
The Sheridan’s Signature Store is the only frozen custard venue operating in a professional sports arena anywhere in the country. Fresh custard is made for every game, making Sheridan’s the perfect place to cool down on a hot summer day.
Ironically, it’s also a great place to warm up because, in addition to frozen smoothies and concretes, it sells warm chocolate chip cookies and hot chocolate.
Basically: Sheridan’s is a place to regulate your internal body temperature while satisfying your sweet tooth. What could be better than that?
3. Chicken Wings, Fingers, and Sandwiches
If you’re looking for poultry, you can’t go wrong at Stroud’s Chicken. They have everything from a two-piece chicken dinner, chicken fingers, and Buffalo wings to fried or grilled chicken sandwiches. Also while you’re there, be sure to try their world-famous cinnamon rolls.
The original Stroud’s was established in 1933, making it a regular Kansas City institution. So, if you want a true Kansas City experience, there’s no better way to do it than going to a Royals game and eating at Stroud’s.
4. Hot Dogs and Hamburgers, Veggie Dogs and Veggie Burgers
You can’t go wrong with the classics. There’s very little in this world that goes more perfectly together than baseball and a juicy ball park frank. Recognizing this, you can find hot dogs and hamburgers at any of the 3-pack concession stands.
Also, as of 2010, vegetarians can partake in the classics with veggie burgers and veggie dogs!
However, a quick word of warning: while the veggie dogs are also vegan, the veggie burgers contain egg whites so, if that would bother you, steer clear.
As you can see, there are plenty of great options to explore on your trip to Kauffman. Try these, let us know what you think, and add any of your favorite places below.
