Knicks Tickets Guide – Best Food at MSG

If you have Knicks tickets to a game at Madison Square Garden, make sure you come to the game hungry. It seems like an obvious thing to say, but of course “The World’s Most Famous Arena” has great food to go along with the great entertainment. They feature upscale restaurants to your basic hot dog/burger stands. Take a look at the munch MSG has to offer…

THE AINSWORTH PRIME – LEVEL 3

This joint is open two hours before and after games, as well as during the game, and features some great arena cuisine. Here you’ll be able to get individual pizzas, buffalo winks/potato wedges, and even entrees like lasagna, sesame-crusted ahi tuna, and prime angus burger. The prices are a little more than the stands on the concourse, but the quality is well worth it. (Entrees: $20, Apps: $10)

CARNEGIE DELI – SECTIONS 104, 108, 112, 115, 120 & 345WC

Pastrami sandwiches like you just walked out of the arena and got one at a local deli. One of these sandwiches will satisfy the hunger of a manly man, or two semi-hungry folks. They also have great creamy knishes. (Price: Sandwich – $15, Knishes – $5)

SIMPLY CHICKEN – SECTIONS 106, 112 & 301

This poultry shrine features chicken sandwiches, chicken salads and even chicken dogs. (Price: $8-12)

HILL COUNTRY – SECTION 107

This outstanding New York barbeque restaurant brought a stand to The Garden. The main items are a smoked brisket on potato bun, and a sandwich of medium-rare prime rib w/ jus on a roll. (Price: $12-14)

CARLOS & GABBY’s – SECTION 111

Kosher food which includes chicken taquito dogs, knishes and pastrami sandwiches (Price: $8-12)

SAUSAGE BOSS – LEVEL 6, SECTIONS 107, 112 & 116

Star chef Andrew Carmellini is a consultant with this stand. The main attraction is the pork sausage “pizzaiolo” with sweet peppers, tomatoes and onions. Another favorite is the cheddar-stuffed bratwurst. (Price: $10-12)

DAILY BURGER – LEVEL 6, SECTIONS 106 & 115

Restaurateur Drew Nieporent, “The King of Tribeca” runs the stand and it’s a beauty. The meat used is a custom blend Pat La Frieda patty – a blend of brisket, short rib and chuck— topped with bacon jam and a cheese sauce. (Price: $12)

PIZZERIA DELL’ORTO – SECTION 117 & WEST BALCONY

A simple personal pizza. (Price: $10)

LOBSTER SHRIMP ROLL – SECTION 118, 301 & WEST BALCONY

Aquagrill runs this stand and they serve only one item: a lobster/shrimp roll made with a potato bun. (Price: $10)
