Miami is well-known for its Latin cuisine, but the good eats don’t just stop there. Let’s take a look at the options you’ll have available to you.  Oh, and if you’re not into eating healthy, we covered all the best food options at the AA Arena here.

Outside of the arena…

Giardino Gourmet Salads – 169 East Flagler St. – less than 1 mi. from arena

Fresh ingredients, greens and homemade perfection is what has kept this healthy food restaurant operating at an effective level. Try the Primavera Salad- Romaine & Baby Leaf greens, carrots, peas, tomato, olives, Herb-parmesan croutons and a Parmesan vinaigrette. Try their new grain bowls which have a variety of options including La Fiesta, The Gardener and Wok. The Garden Wraps and Salad menu is quite extensive.

This is one of eight locations in the Miami area.

Bryan in the Kitchen – 104 NE 2nd Avenue – less than 1 mi. from arena

This vegetarian restaurant is another option that is quite close to the arena. Try the grilled cheese sandwiches here, all of which come with a side of pasta salad. Paninis are also a big hit, especially the one with prosciutto, tomato, mozzarella and basil. Cheese plates, salads and even breakfast is available.

Also make sure you try their snacks, and there are many. There are whole cakes for sale, as well as cupcakes and smoothies.

Jimmy’z Kitchen – 1542 Alton Road – about 5 mi. from arena

Their motto is, “Healthy, hearty food that’ll make you smile.” That must be true because they have been making customers smile for a long time, which has allowed them to branch off and make two other locations in the Miami area. The ZAGAT in Miami dubbed them the “Best Sandwiches in Miami.”

The Jerk Chicken Salad, with lots of mango and avocado slices, is a big favorite. The Seared Ahi Tuna Special will get you started- also served with avocado and tomato salad, jasmine rice and soy ginger dipping sauce. The Churrasco Mofongo- mashed fried green plantains, garlic, olive oil and crunchy pork rinds, soaked in a rich tomato sauce with a kick. The Bistro Turkey Roast is also a great sandwich topped with Swiss cheese, tomatoes, lettuce and sun dried tomato paste.
